It's not easy, but I'll try to say few words about it... ok more than few... 
Maybe I'll start from the beginning.
First was a small picture- "I hate You"- of a girl-Anokhi-which didn't understand intentions of a French boy called Joueur. It was just a picture and I really didn't know what to do with it next. Then came an idea- "why does she hate him? Just because of advances towards her? No way!" I was wondering about Joueur's character. It was like cooking "A glass of intrusion, a pinch of self-confidence... no, no... two pinches!" But he became plain, predictable... and to self-confident
... I've had a huge brain-storming for a long time and... Some weeks ago I was listenning to a song from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" - "The Bells of Notre Dame". It has really inspired me! Especially the last part - "who is the monster and who is the man?" Then I jumped and shouted - "That's it! He needs to be a monster, a freak!"...
Generally he had to have too much "too muches" .From now he's too tall, too skinny, too ill-looking, his cheeks are always too red and too freckled, he's blind on one eye and he's got... what a monster should have ... dragon wings.
Now I had a real monster, and a reason why does she hates him. Then I just needed to find a "man" beneath Joueur's "mask"... sooooo... cooking again One day I'll have an occasion to tell something more about him (I'm drawing him all the time ) Finally Anokhi, my dear Indian girl , has found his soul, and understood that he's a cute and fine guy.
This time I've tried to answer my another question: "why does she likes him?"

This is really good! I love the emotion in the picture! But what I loved the most is how much thought you've put into these characters, so filled with brainstorming. I love your way of viewing ideas, like the cooking thing...it is really inspiring! Also, I love the guy's expression
